Baker, Terry, Senior Research Scientist, Center for Children & Technology Arts Education, New Techniques and Challenges
Terry L. Baker is the director of the Four Season Project. He has served as Dean of the Research Division and Senior Research Scientist at Bank Street College of Education and as Associate Dean of the School of Education at Hofstra University. He was senior assistant to the Chancellor of the New York City Public Schools, the co-director of the Hunter College Teacher Corps Arts and Humanities Project, and director of the Pittsburgh Arts Education Project. Dr. Baker worked for several years in the schools of East Harlem developing alternative educational programs and schools, special curriculum projects and research activities, and has been a high school and college English teacher. He has also served as an advisory board member for such organizations as the Foxfire Fund and the National Commission for Youth Resources, and has acted as a consultant to a number of foundations, service organizations and school districts. His research interests include documentation and assessment, technology and media uses in schools, adult literacy, arts and humanities programming, and public policy. |
