Reg Foster, Corporate Community Relations Manager, IBM Planning for Technology Integration
Reg Foster has been the Corporate Community Relations Manager for the IBM Corporation in New York City and Westchester County since spring of 1997. His responsibilities include managing IBM's participation in projects aimed at improving the technological capacity of nonprofits and schools, awarding grants to nonprofit organizations, primarily focused on uses of computer technology in the fields of K-12 education and workforce development, and supporting IBM executives sitting on nonprofit boards. Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Foster was a consultant to both nonprofit and private organizations, working in the fields of technology planning, resource development, and government relations. At United Way of New York City, he served as Vice President for External Relations , and prior to that, as Vice President for Governmental Relations. Mr. Foster also served in New York State government as an Assistant Director in the Office for the Aging, and in New York City government as a Deputy Administrator at the Human Resources Administration in the Office of Legislation and Policy, where he was the lobbyist on human services for the City to the State Legislature. He holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, and an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Toronto. |
