Access To Technology Resources: Panel Presentations

1-Issues in Access

An overview of the opportunities and challenges that telecommunications networks provide: How are infrastructures and the interfaces which connect us to them changing? Who is hooked up in New York State and who is not? What are the social and economic issues that affect who has access to the underlying infrastructures for telecommunications? Presenters will also help the arts community identify allies on issues of shared concern. Betsy Bayha, Director of Technology Policy at the World Institute on Disability, is joined by Cynthia Lopez-Khan, Advocacy Director for Libraries for the Future, and Vincent Thomas, Office of New York State Assemblyman Al Vann.
