5-Networked Information Changes Museum Culture

The introduction of digital systems to support the established museum mission has led to a networked cultural heritage. Is that mission scrambling to catch up? Since the mid 70s, George Eastman House has been building a visual database of its collections. Now, as a veteran of the Getty's Museum Educational Site Licensing (MESL) project and as a charter member of AMICO (Art Museums Image Consortium), Rochester's museum of photography has a story to tell.
