How can museums provide greater access to collections while ensuring the long-term preservation of fragile objects? David Green, the Executive Director of the National Initiative for a Networked Cultural Heritage (NINCH), joins Deborah Seid Howes of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Myles Gordon, the Director of Education of the American Museum of Natural History, to discuss dominant trends and developments. Among the initiatives presented will be efforts to encode data, ensure multilevel access and navigation, and the use of technology to integrate art in K-12 classrooms. |
