The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, in partnership with New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), provides funding to selected New York City theaters with budgets between $300,000 and $3.5 million.
Following an artistic review of New York City theaters in 2010, the current round of The New York Theater Program supports artistic excellence, uniqueness of vision, and influence within the theater community, offering a two year General Operating funding.
For this cycle, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation issued invitations-to-apply to 31 of the top-ranked theaters from the artistic review process. Selected theaters were invited to submit applications to NYFA in September 2010 for support through 2013. No calls for unsolicited proposals will be made for this cycle.
All questions should be directed to New York Foundation for the Arts. Contact David Court, Officer - Institutional Giving, at dcourt@nyfa.org.
