DESCRIPTION:
The New York Foundation for the Arts staff will provide instructions in the use of NYFA Source, the nation’s most extensive online directory of awards, services, and publications for artists of all disciplines featuring over 8,000 programs. The Artist Training Session will cover basic searches by discipline and advanced searches on a range of criteria, an overview of the range of programs and resources included in the NYFA Source database, and tips and tricks for getting the most out of your search. Participants will have the opportunity to perform test searches for programs relevant to their current work and career needs.
Users can access NYFA Source free of charge for information ranging from cash grants and artist-in-residence programs, to marketing and opportunity listings. This resource covers the range of support available to U.S. artists on the local, state, national, and international level, and allows specific queries based on discipline, location, gender, ethnicity, career point, application deadline, and many other criteria.
