About NYFA Current

America's only regularly-produced publication featuring primarily artists writing on art, NYFA Current keeps its readers current with the future of the contemporary arts.

NYFA Current was conceived in 1992 and relaunched in 2004, continuing the publication's history of reporting the latest news and happenings in the arts world, but placing greater emphasis on the artists' voice. Artists and critics from across the country comment on trends and movements in the art world as they happen, with biweekly features, rants and raves, exclusive web-based projects, and insider perspectives.

NYFA Current is free and published twice monthly on Wednesdays.

NYFA Current staff:

  • Suzan Sherman, Editor

NYFA supports artists' right to express themselves freely and frequently speaks out publicly on freedom of expression issues.

Any points of view expressed in NYFA Current, however, should be considered those of the artists and writers themselves and not necessarily those of the New York Foundation for the Arts.
