The Bronx Council on the Arts’ Arts-in-Education Grant
The Bronx Council on the Arts’ Arts-in-Education Grant supports partnerships between schools and arts/cultural organizations or teaching artists that center on the interdisciplinary or integrated study of arts and non-arts subjects. To be eligible, a proposed project must involve a collaboration between at least one classroom teacher and one teaching artist. Involved schools must be based in Bronx County and partnerships must serve students in grades pre-K through 12. All applicants must use a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor.

The Lincoln Center Institute’s National Educator Workshops
The Lincoln Center Institute’s National Educator Workshop instructs teachers, administrators, teaching artists, and curriculum developers in the organization’s approach to aesthetic education. Workshop participants will dance, paint, make music, improvise theater scenes, and discuss how art inspires and affects teaching and learning. Individual workshop leaders are trained by the Lincoln Center Institute in the methodology and philosophy of aesthetic education, which positions knowledge in and engagement with the arts as central to education.
The National Educator Workshop takes place at the Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education in New York from July 9-13 and July 16-20. For more information, visit www.lcinstitute.org.
Partners for Arts Education’s art$TART Grants
Partners for Arts Education’s art$TART Grants are mini-grants of $2,500 meant to create partnerships between artists and teachers. Public or private pre-K through grade 12 schools in Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties are eligible. Participating schools must provide matching funds.

Arts in Education Regional Roundtables
Arts in Education Regional Roundtables are groups of artists, teachers, cultural organization representatives, and community members who gather in sites throughout New York State to learn about each other, discuss arts-in-education, and establish standards for arts-in-education issues.
