Consultation sessions for visual artists.

Are you a visual artist seeking support in your professional development?
Do you need in-depth guidance in writing a compelling artist statement, applying for a grant, or general business practice advice? NYFA Live provides individualized, 50-minute consultations with a NYFA staff person, focusing on portfolio reviews, grant applications, artist statements, project budgeting, and some business best practices. If you are looking for direction on how to get your work out of the studio and into the marketplace, sign up for NYFA Live!

Beginning January 9, 2008, NYFA Live appointments will take place the first Wednesday of every month from 5-8pm. Sessions are 50 minutes and will occur on the following dates:

January 9, 2008
February 6, 2008
March 5, 2008
April 2, 2008
May 7, 2008
June 4, 2008

NYFA STAFF advisors' background:
Christa Blatchford organizes many of NYFA's workshops, seminars and conferences, including MARK, Doctor's Hours, and the Business of Art Conference. In addition to teaching at Hunter College, Christa is a practicing artist.

Linda Park oversees NYFA Source, the nation's largest resource for grants and services for individual artists in all disciplines. She is a freelance curator, art critic, as well as experienced in writing grant proposals.

FEE:
$45.00 per appointment. There are limited number of sessions per evening, so appointments are made on a first come first serve basis. Please note there are no walk in appointments.
