Crowdfunding and Fiscal Sponsorship
presented by Brian Meece

New York Foundation for the Arts
May 26th, 2012

Crowdfunding is a new, exciting way to raise funds by harnessing the power of micro donations through an online platform. Artpsire is pleased to announce a partnership with RocketHub, an artist friendly crowdfunder that will enable fiscally sponsored projects to run a crowdfunding campaign and offer their donors a tax deduction, a service not currently available through major crowd funding sites. Brian Meece, CEO and co-founder of RocketHub will discuss how to craft a successful crowdfunding campaign using RocketHub’s innovative platform.

Bio
Brian Meece was born and raised on The Gulf of Mexico – that odd and magic little pocket of the American South where country and beach mingle, Jimmy Buffet blares, and hunting trucks have surfboards on the roof. Brian plays a mean ukulele and lives in upper Manhattan with his wife Kana and their wiener dog, Bongo. Brian is the co-founder and CEO of RocketHub, the world's funding machine. A place where folks with ideas leverage the power of the crowd to raise funds and awareness for projects. RocketHub has helped thousands endeavors raise millions of dollars from people all over the world. Specialties Entrepreneurship, Crowdfunding, The Ukulele
