The 2011 Shelly Pinz Fellowship in Poetry
The Shelly Pinz Fellowship will support one Fellowship in Poetry in 2011. The Fellowship was developed in Ms. Pinz’s memory to support the careers of poets and composers.

There is no separate application for this fellowship. Recipients are drawn from those nominated in the Poetry category by the panel to receive fellowship support.

The Award is open to poets of all nationalities, provided they are residents of New York State. All those who apply to NYFA’s Artist Fellowship Program in Poetry will automatically be considered for the Shelly Pinz Fellowship. The winner will be selected by a family member of Ms. Pinz. The announcement of the Shelly Pinz Fellowship in Poetry will take place at a poetry club, hosted by NYFA, where a reading of selections from “Courage to Think” will occur.
