Performance Art/Multidisciplinary Work
Artist Statement: I work predominantly in sculpture/installation, often using some type of media which then becomes a hybrid form. I don't really have a signature style, but conceive of my work as a practice where both the form and the content come out of the research I do. There is a strong performance aspect to many of my woks which requires that the viewer participate in some way." In Barry's 'Au bout des levers,' a group of five sculptures combine projection and animation in order to investigate the unstable relationship between language and the visual, or between what we see and can describe as opposed to what we see and can't describe.
