Artist Statement:
I finished editing my new film "She's Gotta Have It".

More about the Artist:
Spike Lee’s first full length film was She’s Gotta Have It in 1986 about a young woman choosing between three men and debating romantic commitment itself. Lee is currently filming Miracle at St. Anna. His recent projects include the drama Inside Man and the documentary mini-series When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, which exposes the U.S government’s response to Hurricane Katrina and its role in New Orlean’s devastation.

Spike Lee’s production company, 40 Acres & a Mule Filmworks has produced over 30 films since 1983.

Aired on HBO, 2 Emmy Awards, award at the Venice Film Festival, Image Award, a Peabody Award.
