Artists' Fellowship - 2001
Computer Arts
Artist Statement: I am interested in how ideas grow as they cross mediums. For me, the most interesting place to be in cinema is the space in which digital and analog mix. Photographic images, moving and still, are shadows of lost people. They are mechanical, chemical, and digital reproductions as seductive in their promises as they are frustrating in their lies. In my work, I am concerned with how we try to hold onto the elusive through image making and image saving and how these things are changing as we become more digital in these attempts.
