Eric Firestone Gallery is seeking an experienced individual to manage East Hampton, New York gallery. Candidate should have a minimum 2-5 years experience in gallery management, strong organizational and leadership skills, a proven track record in both primary and secondary market art and experience in client development and relationship building with collectors, other galleries, museums and estates. Strategic planning, implementing goals and creative thinking are essential aspects of this position.

A thorough understanding of art history and contemporary art markets in the US and abroad is imperative, as is knowledge of the workings of an art gallery. Thorough computer and art database systems knowledge and managerial skills are essential. A flexible schedule that includes relocating to the Hamptons and frequent travel to/from New York City as well as participation in art fairs is essential.

He/She should be likeable, articulate, hardworking and dedicated. They should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The candidate must exhibit the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, the capacity to prioritize and multitask and to function effectively as a team player within a tight-knit group of goal-oriented staff members. Discretion, mutual respect and confidentiality are fundamental to this position.

Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.
