Paid Internship/Assistant Position to Sculptor in Brooklyn

    OVERVIEW
I am seeking an assistant for building and general project management. This could potentially be longer term with much flexibility, meaning that the amount of work will change from project to project so I expect that you will have other jobs/commitments.  For the next month however, I am looking for a part time assistant for three new projects I am working on.
-Pay is $10 per hour up to about 25 hours per week. Hours are flexible.
-There will be a 3 day, non-paid work trial period assessing your comfort levels around tools and the work involved.
-Please send an email telling me a bit about your experiences, skill levels, interests, goals, few examples of your work, and any questions. (Females are encouraged to apply. Men are welcome as well. Serious inquires only.)
EMAIL:  Rosanna@Cleavageinspace.com

    PROJECTS
I create large and medium scale sculpture and installations, including public art.     RESPONSIBILITIES and WHAT TO EXPECT
-A focused work environment with lots of details to be aware of.
-Regular use of tools. (As you wouldn't necessarily be welding on the sculptures, unless you are a highly skilled, i am willing to teach you Mig/TIG if you so desire.)
-Some administrative work: Researching and sourcing materials, ordering, organizing, etc.
-Locations are in Bushwick - My studio is in the 3rd Ward bldg on Morgan Ave. I also work in another metal shop further out in Bushwick.

    SKILLS – (qualifications are flexible)
You must be comfortable handling tools, a plus if you have any experience with metal working tools.
Other skills that would be preferred, but not required:
- Good city driving skills and a valid drivers license.
- Mig/TIG welding skills
- 3d modeling skills (i.e. Sketchup or other)
- Basic electrical/wiring skills.
