Registrar
De Buck Gallery
(New York NY)

De Buck Gallery is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time, permanent Registrar position.  We are a young Contemporary gallery moving to a prime ground floor location in Chelsea this summer and are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our growing team.

Job Description:
- Maintain gallery inventory and database
- Organize and monitor International and Domestic shipments
- Manage multi-site storage
- Maintain loan agreements
- Inspect art works and maintain accurate condition reports  
- Coordinate framing, photography, viewings and installation of gallery exhibitions
- Manage schedule and duties of part-time art handlers
- Assist with art fair preparation
- Light art handling as needed
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Art History or Fine Arts
- Minimum of 2 years Registrar experience in an established Art Gallery. Applicants without this requirement will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of Contemporary art and the international art market
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Knowledge of a foreign language and Artbase is a plus
- Candidate must be a highly motivated, team player who possesses strong organizational skills with an ability to take initiative and work independently.
