Ink & Clay 39

For the 39th year, the W. Keith and Janet Kellogg University Art Gallery at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona will host INK & CLAY. For the first time, this unique juried art competition is OPEN to artists in ALL 50 United States, making it a National Show. At least $8,000 in cash awards will be given, with two Purchase Prizes awarded. Winners of the Purchase Prize shall have their work added to the University Art Collection.
INK & CLAY has no size restrictions and is open to any works utilizing INK or CLAY. In the past, we have had both functional and sculptural clay works, installations, mixed media, paintings, printmaking, drawings and more.
This year, Michael David and Liza Folman, two East Coast artists/professors at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, will jury the INK entries. Stanton Hunter, a noted ceramicist/professor at Chaffey College in Southern California will jury the clay entries.

The entry fee is $30 and includes THREE submissions. The deadline to enter is June 20, 2013 (postmark). Accepted artists will be included in the Ink & Clay 39 exhibition at the beautiful 4,000 sq. ft. Kellogg Gallery at Cal Poly Pomona University, located within the Los Angeles metropolitan area, and will be featured on the Ink & Clay 39 website and in the online/downloadable catalog. This year, the exhibition will be held September 14 – October 26, 2013.
