Brock Commons Public Sculpture Program
Longwood Center for the Arts
(Farmville VA)

The Longwood Center for Visual Arts is currently accepting proposals for the Brock Commons Public Sculpture Program at Longwood University. Accepted artwork will be installed on a concrete platform on the Longwood University campus and will be on display for two years. In addition to the delivery and installation of their sculpture, accepted artists will also be asked to give a lecture to Longwood University art students. Accepted artists will receive a $2,000 honorarium and up to $1,000 reimbursement for transportation and installation costs. Proposed sculptures can be pre-constructed works completed off site, or they can be site-specific works created on location. Engaging with students in the conception and fabrication of site-specific works is an option.
