Post a Space Listing

NYFA’s Space Listings—a regional online directory (1) for visual artists seeking work space or live/work space and (2) or landlords, developers and others to advertise available space in the tri-state area around New York City

Listings will be posted on NYFA Classifieds. Features include an advanced search feature to sort the listings by Keyword, Type, Location, and Posting Date. NYFA users will also be able to comment on each listing; comments will be monitored. The site will be administered by NYFA.

To submit a free space listing, please read the following information carefully and continue by choosing "Seeking Work Space" or "Work Space Available" at the bottom of this page.

General Information

  • To be listed, listings must be for Visual Artists and within reasonable travel time to New York City. Acceptable distance includes Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Bronx, New Jersey and Connecticut. Ads not covered by this program, (outside the tri state or for another discipline) as can still be purchased as an Opportunities & Services Classifieds.

  • New space listings are posted on NYFA's web site in 2-3 business days, usually sooner.

  • Please note that is illegal to discriminate in the sale, rental or leasing of space because of the following: race, color or creed, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, familial status, or religion.

  • It is also illegal to discriminate against people based on their source of income. For more information consult NYS Office of the Attorney General, NYS Division of Human Rights or NYS Licensing Department.

  • AOL users should open up a new browser window in MS Internet Explorer or Netscape when posting a space listing.

  • Space listing content is the sole responsibility of the originating organization.

  • NYFA reserves the right to refuse illegal or "spam" space listings.

Making Changes to a Listing
If you would like to make changes to a listing you have already submitted, or if you notice errors in a listing that has already been posted on the web site, please email your edits to joblist@nyfa.org. DO NOT CALL NYFA!
