#FellowsFriday Takeover: Ricardo Alberto Maldonado

Follow along for a day in the life of a poet!

Poets, here’s your to-do list for this Friday, January 13:

  1. Follow NYFA on Instagram for a #FellowsFriday takeover with Ricardo Alberto Maldonado (Fellow in Poetry ‘11). Maldonado is the translator of Dinapiera Di Donato’s Collateral. He is managing director at the 92Y Unterberg Poetry Center and curates the EMPIRE Reading Series with Hafizah Geter. He was also a mentor for NYFA’s Immigrant Artist Program in 2012 and 2014.
  2. If you’re a poet based in New York State, polish off your application for the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Poetry. Learn more about the application process and get your application in by Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:59 PM (EST).

We look forward to seeing artists of all disciplines and arts lovers on Instagram this Friday, and we hope you enjoy this sneak peak into the life of a working poet.

Not a poet, but hungry for upcoming opportunities? Applications in the following discipline categories will also be reviewed during the current NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship award cycle:

  • Crafts/Sculpture
  • Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts
  • Nonfiction Literature
  • Digital/Electronic Arts
