Fine Art Shipping Coordinator

Williams & Hill are an established fine art shipping and storage company based in Long Island City, New York, who handle all areas of fine art transport, storage and installation and we are currently looking for experienced candidates to join our growing team.

We are currently seeking a full time Fine Art Shipping Coordinator 

An ideal applicant would have at least 2 years’ professional practice within a similar role, be detail orientated and organized, highly motivated and carry out their role in a professional manner and have strong communication skills, a genuine interest in contemporary Art and Design Furniture is also preferred. Full in-house training will also be provided.

Williams & Hill also participate in the shipping and installation of all major Art Fairs in New York, Miami and Europe and we are actively working to increase our participation and presence in these fairs, candidates who already have Art Fair experience are highly encouraged to apply as we look to grow this team.

Primary duties and responsibilities are:

·        Completing Air, Sea and Road freight shipments from start to finish

·        Replying to and communicating with clients via email and telephone

·        Liaising with clients, galleries, and agents

·        Setting up new jobs according to the specific quotation of services

·        General office administration

·        Storage inventory management and data entry

Essential skills / Interpersonal requirements:

·        Knowledge of customs procedures for both Import and Export is preferred however, training will be provided

·        Proficient computer skills, Outlook, MS Office as a minimum

·        Confident individual with professional manner

·        Good organisational skills and time management skills

·        Attention to detail with a diligent work ethic

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Ability to work in a team and on own initiative
