Marketing for Artists in the Digital Age
Artist professional development talk on Tuesday, January 17 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
Marketing and communications are an essential part of any artist’s practice or organization’s strategy. But how do you know where to concentrate your efforts with the complicated matrix of digital offerings? Communications professional and digital strategist Mara Vlatković is joining NYFA for a talk on January 17 to answer questions like:
- How do I start developing my audience and network online?
- Which social media platforms should I be using, and why?
- How do I incorporate online marketing into my day-to-day communication strategy?
- Will marketing my events, shows, performances etc. online make a difference to attendance or money raised?
The talk will explore the above questions and will provide you with concrete tips and strategies for creating a digital marketing strategy. You’ll learn ways to use social media to your advantage, rather than having it be a time-sucking activity, and most importantly, hear how to use online marketing effectively and efficiently to reach your target audience.
