Description
The Assistant Studio Manager is a vital role combining comprehensive office management, property oversight, and direct support to the artist. This multifaceted position ensures the smooth operation of the studio's administrative and operational functions with touch points across all aspects of the business. The ideal candidate excels at administrative tasks of all kinds, is a team-player, and is ready to roll-up their sleeves and get the job done.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Studio Operations
- Manage studio inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance
- Oversee artwork shipping logistics and inventory management
- Provide light art handling and oversee artwork installations
- Supervise and maintain general property upkeep and organization, including overseeing cleaning services
- Coordinate with contractors, repair services, and utility providers
- Maintain budgets and process invoices and expense reports, liaising with bookkeepers and accountants as necessary
- Maintain organized filing systems (both physical and digital)
Direct Artist and Administrative Support
- Coordinate and maintain the artist's personal and professional calendar
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and studio visits efficiently
- Organize travel arrangements
- Liaise with galleries, museums, collectors, and other art world contacts
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of hand-ons and comprehensive experience in office management, executive assistance, or arts administration
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality control
- Demonstrated track record of solutions-oriented thinking and, most importantly, problem-solving
PREFERRED
- Experience with Artlogic and Notion platforms
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Background in art handling or gallery/museum operations
- Familiarity with art world protocols and industry practices
- Experience in property or facilities management
