Base pay is $24/hour, but could increase depending on applicant's experience.
Midtown Manhattan lighting showroom looking for an experienced lighting designer for an in-person role. We’re looking for a talented designer who thrives in a creative and collaborative environment. While this is not fully a client-facing role, strong communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities include:
Executing chief designer’s concepts as renderings and technical drawings
Assisting in the development process of custom orders
Creating working drawings and files for fabrication
Communicating with vendors and fabricators and assisting Showroom Manager in creating work orders
Sourcing and ordering stock materials
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 years of design experience, preferably with some in lighting design
Availability to work in person in Midtown Manhattan 5 days a week
Ability to speak fluent English
Proficiency in RHINO, Fusion, CAD, Adobe suite
Proficiency in KeyShot or other 3D rendering software
Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques
Experience with product photography
Helpful, but not required:
Ability to make realistic renderings for use in marketing and social media
Knowledge of UL safety standards
Experience with product photography
