Manager, Individual Giving

The Manager of Individual Giving is an essential member of the Development team that will be responsible for advances the Museum’s philanthropic goals by creating and implementing effective cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies and events for mid-level donors and prospects in the $1,000-$25,000, including the Starlight Circle, President’s Circle, and Abbott Circle affinity groups. The Individual Giving Manager will also manage the Museum’s Patron Program/Annual Fund, including working with development staff on cultivation and stewardship events and engagement opportunities, and executing a strong calendar of development communications in partnership with the Marketing and Communications Team and Manager of Membership and Development Communications. This is a full-time, regular position that reports directly to the Director, Individual Giving and Major Gifts.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Currently, MCNY offers a hybrid work schedule with three days a week onsite (Wednesdays and Thursdays are mandatory) and two days a week of flexible work when possible. In-person attendance may be required for meetings and events, even on flexible days. This schedule is subject to approval by supervisors and may change at any time. Weekend and evening work may be required to support special events as needed.
This role requires being stationary for 50% of the time and navigating office and Museum environments. Proficiency in operating office equipment and strong visual acuity (close, distance, color, and peripheral vision) is necessary for tasks like data analysis and computer use. Travel within the five boroughs may be required.
