Job Description:
● Learning and utilizing cataloging techniques according to Gurr Johns internal standards
● Assisting our team of Fine Art and Decorative Arts Specialists with research, fact-checking, and data entry, including retrieving literature from NYC libraries on a regular basis
● Learning art valuation methodology
Assisting with the brokerage department
Qualifications and Necessary Skills:
● Must be currently enrolled in a four year university or graduate school
● Experienced in research
● Organized with strong attention to detail
● Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to multi-task within a professional, fast-paced office environment
● Energetic
● Punctual
● A desire to learn about art business, appraisal, and advisory
● Ability to work independently
Internships will run from May through August 2025, with a required minimum of 2 days per week, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. This role is in person in our New York office.
