Description
Jane Lombard Gallery is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated intern to assist with archival and research tasks in preparation for our 30th-anniversary exhibition and corresponding publication. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in gallery operations, archival organization, and exhibition research.
Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the Principal, Senior Director, and Gallery Manager to support research and archiving efforts
- Organize and catalog materials related to the gallery’s history and past exhibitions
- Assist in compiling research for the upcoming 30th-anniversary exhibition and publication
- Help maintain digital and physical records in our database
- Support general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Interest in contemporary art, archival work, and research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with archival research, databases, or publication preparation is a plus
Details:
- Commitment: 2–3 days per week, 10 AM–6 PM
- Duration: March–May 2025 (with some flexibility)
