Pace Prints printmaking workshop is seeking an Assistant Production Manager.

Pace Prints is a fine art print publisher and dealer founded in 1968. The Pace Prints Gallery, which occupies 7,500 square feet on the ground floor, encompasses three significant exhibition spaces that rotate every six weeks. 

In addition to its exhibitions, the gallery maintains a large selection of framed and unframed prints, most of which have been created by over 100 artists in various mediums at the Pace Prints printmaking workshops.      

Primary Responsibilities

·       Assist the printer of Ukiyo-e woodcut 

·       Color separation and cutting wood blocks                             

·       Press printing on both proofing and edition printing 

·       Hand printing on both proofing and edition printing                                                                       

·       Mix dry powder pigments                           

Qualifications

·       5+ years of experience in the technique

·       Knowledge and experience in cutting wood blocks

·       Knowledge and experience in hand printing 

·       A degree in printmaking is preferable

·       At least 2 years’ experience at a commercial print shop supervised by a professional printer
