Description
The BOMB Interim Digital Media Coordinator is involved in jobs vital to digital project production, cross-platform digital marketing, copyediting, and event coordination.
Reports to: Associate Publisher
DUTIES:
- Supports all aspects of the BOMB including project management and coordination, social media strategy, with staff.
- Activating and assisting the Digital Media Manager with digital marketing campaigns. This includes BOMB’s weekly newsletter, Weekend Reads via MailChimp.
- Regular social media posting related to the online and print publishing schedule, issue marketing, and relevant events. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Bluesky).
- Assisting in all event pre-production and post-production, including BOMB issue launches, Art Fairs, and Book Fairs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years of professional experience in social media and digital platforms and websites. Mailchimp specifically.
- Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven project management and multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently, proactively, collaboratively, and effectively under pressure with a wide variety of staff and outside partners.
- Experience with Instagram Story/Reel content creation.
- Experience with analytics tools for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Google Analytics, etc.) preferred.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds Work requires the ability to lift/carry objects for event prep.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Exceptional writing skills. Copyediting skills with an eye for detail. The ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines.
- Interest and enthusiasm for the work of BOMB and knowledge of art and the non-profit cultural world.
WAGE AND BENEFITS
- Mon- Weds $25.00 an hour.
- Monday and Weds in our Fort Greene office. Tuesdays will be WFH.
