Private Art Advisory Firm – New York City
A private art advisory firm specializing in Modern and Contemporary art is seeking a temporary part-time assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the office. Responsibilities include cataloguing an extensive art library, digitizing client files, maintaining and updating records in the firm’s internal art database, and providing general administrative support.
This role offers valuable exposure to both the inner workings of a private art advisory firm and its administrative operations. It is ideal for recent graduates, early-career professionals, or anyone looking to build experience in arts administration with a strong interest in Modern and Contemporary art.
Position Details
Duration: September 15th - December 15th
Schedule: Three days a week (Monday – Thursday), with flexibility on specific weekdays
Location: On-site in New York City
Compensation: $20/hour + lunch expenses reimbursed
Qualifications
Must be based in New York and able to work on-site.
Experience with cataloguing, data entry, database software and Photoshop is a plus.
Ability to work independently and take direction in a small team environment.
Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Prior experience in an office, gallery, museum, or academic setting is a plus.
