The Brooklyn Rail seeks a full-time Advertising Associate to grow our advertising revenue across both print and digital platforms. Today, the Rail’s advertising base is primarily concentrated in the art world. We are looking for someone who can both maintain and deepen those existing relationships and drive expansion into new sectors. This role is great for someone with a communications or sales background looking to make a big impact on a small organization.
About the Brooklyn Rail:
The Brooklyn Rail’s mission is to provide an independent forum for arts, culture, and politics throughout New York City and beyond.
Founded in October 2000, the Rail publishes a journal 10 times a year and distributes it for free in print and online, and hosts a live weekday conversation series. The Rail further fulfills its mission by curating art exhibitions, panel discussions, reading series, and film screenings that reflect the complexity and inventiveness of the city’s artistic and cultural landscape. With two million annual readers globally, the Rail’s audience is culturally engaged, spanning the visual arts, performing arts, film, design, fashion, architecture, and literature, making it a compelling platform for advertisers across many sectors.
