The Programs and Marketing Manager is a full-time, exempt position. Some evening and weekend work may be required. Salary range is $55,000 – $75,000, based on experience. WS provides health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401k plan; cultural stipend; and generous PTO and sick leave.

Description

The Programs and Marketing Manager plays a central role in implementing, supporting, and communicating all WORTHLESSSTUDIOS’ programs, through coordinating communications and helping execute a seamless delivery of core programs. The Programs and Marketing Manager reports to the Artistic Director and Director of Programming. 

 

This is a dynamic position placing you in an active and central role within the organization. We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is excited to be hands-on in both programming and marketing. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


PROGRAM EXECUTION


  • Coordinate logistics for major programs: WARP, 1-800 Happy Birthday, and Photographer in Residenc
  • Participate in planning and production of in-person programming events
  • Manage outreach and selection process for open calls
  • Liaise with artists, partners, and contractors to ensure smooth program delivery
  • Track program metrics and contribute to board and grant reporting


MARKETING CONTENT AND EXECUTION


  • Coordinate and oversee WS communications, including writing, producing, and sending newsletters, social media posts, and maintaining the website
  • Capture content and/or manage photographers and videographers
  • Ensure that content resonates with our audiences
  • Track social media and newsletter metrics


EVENT PLANNING, COLLABORATION & REPORTING


  • Work with Development Team to support donor events and excursions (transportation, catering, RSVPs)
  • Schedule and coordinate visits and program-related travel
  • Track timelines and communicates proactively across teams


ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT


  • Manage calendar, scheduling, and correspondence
  • Prepare meeting materials and talking points for internal and external meetings
  • Provide hands-on support during major events or programs as needed


QUALIFICATIONS


2-3 years of experience in arts programming, logistics, or project management

Experience supporting, designing, and/or implementing digital content for an organization

Knowledge of the digital platforms and experience using email marketing software 

Previous experience with museums, galleries or community centers 

Previous experience with events and event staffing

Administrative experience

Friendly, mature demeanor

Responsible, timely

Deadline-driven: ability to multi-task and work well independently with changing priorities as required in start-up environment

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends if needed for events

Skilled at databases and spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel)

Experience with Notion, Slack, and Adobe Suite is a plus

1-2 years of photography experience preferred but not required
