Library Street Collective is seeking a full-time Gallery Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, highly organized, able to multitask and work in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This role includes responsibilities across sales support, gallery operations, event coordination, and artist liaison work. Candidates should have 3–5 years of gallery experience, with a strong focus on sales.
This position is in-person, five days per week Tuesday-Saturday from 10am – 6pm and requires flexibility for occasional additional hours based on the gallery’s needs and events.

Candidates should be proficient in the following software and platforms:
- Google Suite
- Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Shipping software/websites (FedEx, DHL, etc.)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign)
- Database and file management systems (ArtLogic, Dropbox, etc.)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Duties
- Track incoming inquiries in both Library Street Collective and Louis Buhl & Co.
- Record client emails and specific artwork inquiries across platforms
- Update contact records in ArtLogic with new information
- Oversee junior staff for various admin tasks and manage walk-in sales
- Build catalogs for clients and exhibitions
- Assist with artwork renderings for clients
- Assist with sales writing
- Manage and track sales documents including invoices, consignment agreements, loan agreements, and shipping documents as needed
- Attend and manage in-person events
- Manage art fair applications
- Attend art fairs as needed
Events & Openings
- Assist with private and public events as needed
Artist Liaison
- Assist with artist inventory management
- Assist with managing consignments
- Assist with artwork photography
- Assist with shipping for artists
- Assist with studio visits and scheduling studio visits as necessary
General
- Prepare, open, and close Library Street Collective, Louis Buhl & Co., and/or the Shepherd exhibition spaces
- Greet, engage, and assist visitors with questions regarding current exhibitions
- Oversee daily gallery operations and gallery space including cleaning, restocking and general tidiness
- Lead tours for groups visiting gallery spaces
- Assist with events such as opening receptions and group tours
- Database maintenance and management on various platforms including Dropbox, Artlogic, etc.
- Support staff with additional projects including research, errands, and general office tasks
- Assist in gathering competitive quotes for artwork shipments with Registrar
- Create and prepare COAs for Library Street Collective and Louis Buhl & Co. artworks
- Create, prepare, and update institutional decks for museum presentations and promotional decks for client presentations
- Assist in converting and storing artwork images across all gallery databases
- Assist in various other tasks to support Supervisors
