DESCRIPTION:
MidAmerica Productions and MidAm International Inc., in NYC, announce an opening for a remote (work from home) Client Services Associate with experience in client account management including accounts receivable and collections. For 42 years, these two companies have produced and presented more than 1400 classical concerts
worldwide, including over 700 in historic Carnegie Hall as well as music tours and residencies across Europe.
As an integral part of our operations, the Client Services Associate will handle a range of financial and administrative tasks to support our mission of delivering top-tier performances. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Accounts Payable and Receivable:
○ Process payables related to venue bookings and vendor services.
○ Ensure all assigned client accounts are up to date, including but not limited to, invoicing and posting payments in Quickbooks, generating client receipts, and monitoring the aging report.
○ Liaise with clients and vendors to ensure proper receipt and dissemination of information and documents.
○ Track and maintain accurate records of ticket income from concert venues.
● Financial Recordkeeping:
○ Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
○ Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a regular
basis.
● Payroll Assistance:
○ Maintain accurate records for year-end 1099 reporting
○ Reconcile sales commissions and other payroll-related transactions in Quickbooks for detailed reporting
● Reporting:
○ Assist with preparing financial summaries for management and stakeholders.
● Compliance and Auditing:
○ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all financial practices.
○ Prepare documentation for audits and work with external auditors as needed.
● Administrative Support:
○ Maintain organized files and records for financial and contractual documents.
○ Assist with scheduling and communication between departments regarding financial matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
● Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop accounting software (required).
● Must have Excel and Google Suite experience.
● Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
● Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
● Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
● Familiarity with the music or entertainment industry is a plus.
WORK PARAMETERS:
Full-time position; 9am to 6pm EST Monday through Friday.
This position is remote (work from home) until further notice.
Compensation:
● Starting salary $45,000 - $52,000
● Periodic bonuses or salary increases based on performance review
● Two weeks paid vacation provided after six months of employment
