Description
Leadership team member with a resource development focus
This role will be tailored to the individual candidate, will be approximately 3/4 part time, and will have a hybrid work structure. This role is NYC-based.
This team member is responsible for creating and executing fundraising strategy to support The Brick and its mission and overseeing the management of organizational resources. This role works closely with the Producing Artistic Director and Board of Directors to ensure that resources are in place to support organizational needs. This role is the primary administrator of financial resources and relationships and will be responsible for individual, institutional and event fundraising, sponsorships, and financial reporting.

Key tasks:
Organizational Strategy
- Working with leadership team to create annual action plans to deliver on strategy and mission
- Coordinating organizational strategies and evaluating outcomes with leadership team
- Evaluate programming impact on an ongoing basis
Programming
- Contribute to the annual program planning process to develop and book programming.
- Develop the annual programming budget with the leadership team
- Build relationships with The Brick’s core communities and audiences that inform programming decisions.
Fundraising & Development
- Designing and implementing an annual fundraising program to generate income from Board, individuals, institutional funders, and events.
- Cultivating new individual and institutional funders
- Overseeing and supporting grant writing and reporting
- Ensuring that key funder relationships are documented and developed over time
Finance
- Work with the PAD to develop the annual budget
- Manage the operating budget as approved by the Board of Directors
- Oversee the bookkeeping and accounting contractors to ensure timely and accurate record keeping and financial management
- Manage cash flow and cash reserves
- Manage the annual audit process
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and interest in experimental performance
- Proven capability to build and retain relationships with funders, donors, and community leaders
- Prior experience or a proven record of building resources for a non-profit arts organization
- Excellent communication skills, strong analytical ability and good judgment
- Focus and outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent project tracking and reporting skills to include use of software tools such as Microsoft Excel and Quick Books
- Ability to troubleshoot in real time and be on site at The Brick regularly
