Description
Dan Bradica Studio seeks a remote, full-time Photo Retoucher to specialize in digital post-production of photography of artworks and exhibition installations. The ideal candidate will have experience processing and organizing a large volume of images, a strong understanding of Photoshop, an ability to consistently meet deadlines, an ability to quickly learn new Photoshop processes, and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Retouch and format images to meet specific needs of the photographer and clients.
- Ensure that all photography maintains standards for quality and consistency.
- Color correct, create paths, and balance lighting on all artwork images.
- Clean image backgrounds and artwork shadows to be consistent with the photographer's aesthetic.
- Remove distracting elements in installation views.
- Digitally render artworks onto installation views and scale model images.
- Correspond with team via slack and email.
- File management and organization.
- Participate in ongoing conversation to shape workflow and Photoshop processes.
Requirements:
- BA or BFA in Photography preferred, not required.
- Eye for color.
- Mac fluency with 2-4TB of storage capacity (required).
- Strong understanding of Photoshop processes, specifically color adjustment tools / techniques.
- Ability to quickly create paths and layer masks.
- Ability to use Photoshop Actions to maintain a speedy workflow.
- Ability to manage a high volume workflow in a fast paced setting, while maintaining acute attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to reprioritize throughout the day as needs arise and shift.
- Must have a strong internet connection in order to transfer files remotely.
- Familiarity with Hasselblad DSLRs and Phocus preferred.
- Familiarity with color management standards and principles.
- Familiarity with and interest in contemporary art.
- Familiarity with Photo Editing Softwares; Ps, Lr, Camera Raw, Focus Stacking, HDR softwares like Photomatix
Position is entirely work-from-home and will revolve loosely around a Monday through Friday, 10am - 6pm EST schedule, with additional hours required occasionally.
