Description
St. Ann’s Warehouse plays a vital role in the global theater landscape as an artistic home for the American avant-garde, international companies of distinction, and talented emerging artists ready to work on a grand scale. In recent years, programming has expanded to visual arts presentations and concerts in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Job Summary
The Digital Content Manager will shape and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy that amplifies the artistic mission of St. Ann’s Warehouse. This role is responsible for storytelling across social media, the St. Ann’s website, and platforms like Bloomberg Connects, fostering digital engagement and audience growth.
Responsibilities
- Work with Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and manage a cohesive institutional voice across all digital channels
- Create, curate, and schedule compelling content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging channels to support season announcements, show-specific campaigns, one-off events, and institutional awareness
- Work closely with the artistic and marketing teams to ensure storytelling aligns with programming, mission, and voice
- Lead community management and audience interaction across platforms
- Design and implement data-informed strategies to grow social media engagement and following
- Monitor digital trends and apply insights to keep St. Ann’s at the forefront of digital storytelling
- Collect and analyze metrics to track KPIs and inform content performance and audience insights, producing monthly reports
- Manage and expand digital initiatives such as Bloomberg Connects, YouTube, and potential podcast projects
- Collaborate with external creatives (video editors, podcast producers, graphic designers) as needed to produce high-quality multimedia content, including short-form and long-form video content optimized for social media
- Work cross-departmentally to capture and amplify behind-the-scenes moments, artist interviews, and program highlights
- Maintain content calendars and production schedules
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and other creatives for content capture and creation
- Coordinate with audience ambassadors and support the integration of influencer marketing into broader marketing and communications strategies
- Manage established budget allocation for digital content
- Oversee rights and permissions for media use
- Contribute to campaign wrap-up reports
Requirements
- 1–3 years experience in digital content, social media, or digital marketing, preferably in the arts or nonprofit sector
- Demonstrated success managing and growing social media channels
- Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with an eye for brand voice and tone
- Proficiency in social media management tools and basic editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Strong visual and storytelling sensibility
- Photography/videography skills a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Passion for arts, culture, and digital trends
