About the role:
We’re hiring a full time Production Assistant to join our team in Union City, NJ. As a member of our production team, you’ll contribute to a hands-on work environment and assist with all aspects of our unique, hand-made process. You’ll work closely with our Production Manager to maximize daily numbers and hit production goals.
Responsibilities:
Prepping and pugging clay
Loading and unloading kilns
Jiggering
Roller Jiggering
Trimming
Slab forming
Slipcasting
Packing
Tracking daily production numbers
Cleaning and general studio maintenance
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in ceramics production or a production or fabrication environment is required.
You should be self-motivated, with great attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Our production process is extremely collaborative and you should enjoy working as part of a team.
The ability to lift objects above 50 lbs. is required in our studio warehouse environment.
You must be comfortable standing for extended periods.
Enthusiasm for learning all parts of the process and working in different departments of the studio.
This job is full time and weekend shifts may be required.
