Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a warm, driven, and detail-oriented Client Relations Coordinator to join us at Ames Jewelry. You will act as the primary point of contact for both our retail and wholesale clients — building lasting relationships, guiding them through purchases, and supporting communication on custom projects. You will ensure every interaction and after-sale experience reflects the care and craftsmanship that Ames Jewelry is known for. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role, thrives in a boutique studio environment, and enjoys helping customers celebrate meaningful moments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both retail and wholesale clients, providing a warm and refined experience across all channels
  • Curate a thoughtful in-person experience for client appointments at our studio, ensuring every visit feels intentional and reflective of the project’s creative whole
  • Oversee the presentation and packaging of outgoing orders so clients receive their pieces in a way that feels as special as the pieces themselves
  • Participate in custom project consultations as needed, and own client communication throughout the process — relaying feedback, managing expectations, and providing timely updates from design through delivery
  • Coordinate with the production team to keep custom and wholesale orders on schedule, proactively flagging and resolving any timeline issues before they reach the client
  • Manage after-sale service requests including repairs, resizing, and cleaning — tracking status and keeping clients informed at every stage
  • Remain highly responsive across multiple client communication platforms — including email, phone, and social channels
  • Generate and send client invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Track and analyze sales data through Shopify to generate reports, identify trends, and help develop targeted events and sales initiatives
  • Maintain detailed client records including purchase history, preferences, and correspondence across all communication channels
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships through personalized outreach — acknowledging birthdays, anniversaries, and other meaningful milestones
  • Drive sales through thoughtful product recommendations and upselling, drawing on a deep understanding of each client's taste and purchase history

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in client relations, retail sales, or account management — experience in fine jewelry, detailed crafted objects, or a creative/maker-oriented business strongly preferred
  • Highly responsive and comfortable managing client communication across multiple platforms including email, phone, and social channels
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple client accounts, custom project timelines, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Shopify, including invoicing, order management, and sales reporting
  • Proficiency in Asana for project tracking and timeline management
  • Warm, familiar, and polished communication style — someone who leads with connection and relationship-building rather than a sales-first approach
  • An appreciation for the relationship between artist and patron, and the ability to embody that in every client interaction
  • A proactive problem-solver who can anticipate client needs and resolve issues before they escalate
  • Passion for fine jewelry, a knowledge of materials and the heritage of the craft, and an appreciation for the meaning behind each piece we make
  • Ability to thrive in a small business environment where flexibility, initiative, and wearing multiple hats is part of the job
How to apply

Please reach out to [email protected] with your resume and a cover letter. Additionally we would love to hear which piece in our collection speaks most to you and why, as well as some notes of your own creative world. What's your favorite song at the moment, place to take a pause in the city, and aritst/brand who's world you would like to live in?

We looking forward to learning more about you.
