Description
We are seeking a motivated intern to assist our Art Production Designer across a range of exciting projects, including installation art, exhibition design, and an architectural interior project. Stipends available (and school credit if applicable).
Duration: 3 months (Summer 2025)
Location: New York City, must be in-person
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with production development of new artworks, exhibitions, and institutional proposals.
- Assist with the execution phase of interior architecture project by interpreting drawings, coordinating FF&E procurement, managing fabrication follow-ups, and supporting installation logistics.
- Support creation of 2D/3D schematics, concept visuals, and technical files for subcontractors (CNC, laser cut, 3D print, etc.).
- Help organize and maintain internal documentation across multiple ongoing projects.
- Contribute to editorial and graphic design for books, invitations, proposals, and digital media.
Skills & Requirements:
- Background in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or related fields (current student or recent graduate).
- Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledge in 3D modeling software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Sketchup, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of object fabrication processes (woodworking, metalworking, acrylic, mold-making/casting) is a plus. Experience setting up files for CNC milling, laser cutting, or 3D printing is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings; Prior experience not required, but willingness to learn and engage with construction documents is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
