Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $52,000–$57,000, and the benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; an Employee Assistance Program; life insurance; short-term and long-term disability; two weeks of vacation; and additional paid time off.

Description

The Marketing and Communications Associate supports executing TCG’s marketing and communications strategies across email, social media, website, and other digital platforms. This role is responsible for creating and scheduling content for programming, conferences, in-person events, institutional marketing, and campaign efforts. Additionally, this role manages video and photo assets, collaborates on social media activations, and supports cross-departmental efforts to enhance engagement and visibility of TCG and its work.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Conference, Programming, and Special Event Marketing

●     Curate and design email content to promote conferences, in-person events, and virtual programming

●     Upload and schedule event-related social media content across platforms

●     Update relevant event website content (sliders, news items, webpages)

●     Support in the creation of a conference microsite and/or event platform

●     Collaborate across departments to gather relevant information and assets to support marketing and communications strategies


Institutional Marketing

●     Draft, design, and send routine organizational communications, supporting the larger organization’s email strategy (IM Wire, NEW@TCG, Briefing, etc.)

●     Ensure organizational information is consistently updated across digital platforms

●     Collaborate with relevant member organizations and TCG teams cross-departmentally to source and schedule content for observances and holidays

●     Support cross-departmental needs with posts and emails for TCG Books and American Theatre campaigns

●     Assist Institutional Philanthropy with sponsor activations, including content generation, template-based design, and approvals


Membership and Individual Giving Campaigns

●     Collaborate across departments to gather relevant information and assets to support campaigns

●     Develop and design emails to support membership and fundraising campaigns

●     Create and schedule related social media content to support regular campaigns


Website, Video, and Photo Management

●     Upload all relevant video content to YouTube for public and/or private viewing

●     Support with uploading of digital assets (video and photo) to the relevant digital asset management platform

●     Disseminate videos across organizational websites, YouTube, and social media platforms

●     General updates to TCG webpages and support for TCG staff in webpage building

 

Qualifications:

·        Demonstrable experience and commitment to activating anti-racism, equity, and inclusive values, with the ability to apply these values in day-to-day work.

●     Dedication and a deep commitment to fostering diverse and inclusive environments, working effectively across various identities, including gender expression, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class, and immigrant status.

●     1-2 years of marketing and/or communications experience with a passion for theatre or arts-related fields

●     Strong writing and communication skills

●     Experience designing email campaigns (Mailchimp preferred)

●     Experience supporting social media strategy and managing individual social media campaigns (specifically Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube)

●     Comfort adapting designs in Canva for use on social media

●     Comfort contributing ideas and leveraging analytics/data to strengthen strategy

●     Awareness of brand consistency in creating messages

●     Desire to work cross-departmentally and ability to manage projects simultaneously
