Personal & Studio Assistant – Contemporary Artist (Los Angeles, CA)

A busy contemporary artist based in Los Angeles is seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal & Studio Assistant to support both daily life and creative operations. This role is approximately 70% personal assistance and 30% studio support.

The ideal candidate is a recent BFA graduate (or someone with a strong interest in the arts) who is reliable, adaptable, resourceful, and handy. You should be comfortable with both personal tasks and light studio responsibilities, as well as managing day-to-day logistics with efficiency and care.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Support:

• Run errands, including grocery shopping for both the studio and artist’s home
• Drive the artist to appointments, airport pickups/drop-offs as needed
• Daily dog care, including walks and vet appointments
• Light handyman tasks, such as hanging artwork and minor household fixes
• Schedule and coordinate with electricians, caretakers, and other property service providers

Studio Assistance:

• Assist the Studio Manager and Production Manager with administrative and organizational tasks
• Light art handling
• Assist with coordinating shipping and deliveries to the studio and storage units
• General support to maintain a clean and organized studio

Requirements

• Must have a car and a valid driver’s license
• Based in Los Angeles, ideally on the East Side
• Must be comfortable around dogs
• Flexible and patient, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
• A positive attitude and a strong sense of discretion and professionalism

This is a paid freelance part-time position and will require a flexible schedule.
