Description
DAG, an international art gallery for 18th to 20th century Indian art, with locations in New Delhi, Mumbai, and New York, is seeking a full time Associate Vice President-Sales for our New York location.
The successful candidate will be proactive, motivated, and will work well in a team environment as well as independently. A positive and collegial attitude is highly valued.
Candidate must have minimum ten years of experience in sales. There be an additional incentive on sales made by an individual.
KRAs:
- Primarily responsible for developing a new sales channel for acquiring new clientele and for sales target achievement.
- Maintain and retain existing and new clients, engage in formal conversations with visitors to ensure regularity of the customers visiting the DAG gallery and assure a growth in customer base.
- Follow-up with clients and record feedbacks and improvise to implement best practices.
- Address client queries and ensure that they have a smooth experience at DAG
- Generation of invoices for artworks and books sold.
- Prepare engaging PPTs and present them to interested clients
- Capture details of new visitors and customers in CRM
- Work closely with Gallery Operations Director and provide inputs regarding selection of art works for exhibitions and events.
- Manage start to finish sales process, including delivery of artwork, generation of post sales docs and follow ups.
- Work with Gallery Operations Director to ensure gallery is always impeccable for visitors.
Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in arts related topics such as fine arts or art history
- 10 - 15 years’ experience in Art Gallery, Art Fairs or Museums
- Must have strong understanding of Indian modern art
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with clients
- Fluency in English essential, other languages an advantage
- Be flexible with working hours if/when required
- Existing database of clients should be required
- Self-starter, motivated, works well with small teams.
