Description

A Brooklyn-based artist is seeking an experienced studio welder for a part-time position. We’re looking for a dependable, resourceful, and practical self-starter who can work independently or alongside other studio assistants. The right candidate brings not only technical expertise but a calm, solution-oriented presence to the studio.

Requirements:


  • Essential metalworking skills:
  • TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum
  • MIG welding of aluminum
  • Skilled in grinding aluminum with precision and care
  • Proficient and safe with a range of power tools
  • Strong understanding of sculptural techniques and fabrication processes
  • Detail-oriented, patient, and confident in solving fabrication challenges
  • A peaceful and focused energy in the studio environment
  • Minimum 3 years of professional welding experience


This is a short-term position with potential for longer-term collaboration.
