Up Transport, a fine art logistics company specializing in post-sale art services, is seeking reliable, detail-oriented, and professional Art Technicians to join our team in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in careful craftsmanship, and is interested in learning the specialized field of fine art handling and transportation.

Position Type: Freelance

Compensation: $32–$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and driving experience required
• Willingness to learn to operate box trucks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and protocols
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Willingness to be trained in proper fine art handling, packing, transportation, and installation procedures

Responsibilities

• Driving a truck
• Pack, transport, deliver, and install artwork
• Safely load and unload artwork and materials from vehicles
• Handle artwork with care according to established protocols
• Review, collect, and maintain delivery and inventory documentation
• Assist with storage operations, including inventory intake and retrieval
• Experience in art handling, installation, moving, logistics, woodworking, fabrication, or museum/gallery operations is a plus, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
