Coordinator, Advising & Special Projects - PT 20 hours per week

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Support for the Office of Academic Advising

• Provide reception support in 212 F during selected high-traffic hours; answer

basic questions and direct students to appropriate resources; greet guests to

office, manage messages, and make copies.

• Assist with processing add/drop requests.

• Assist with pre-registration and general registration support.

• Answer student questions related to policies, independent studies, extra credit

processes, and eligibility.

• Compose and send standard academic correspondence, notices, and letters in

response to faculty and staff reports.

• Provide additional Academic Standards Committee support as needed.

• Provide administrative support for off-campus and exchange programs.

• Other academic advising administrative tasks, as assigned.

Administrative Support for Special Projects

• Support the planning and implementation of exhibitions, archival research

projects, and public events, in coordination with Associate Dean, internal

departments, and external institutions.

• Provide administrative support for other special project and administrative tasks,

as assigned.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with students, faculty and staff

• Highly organized

• Excellent computer and writing skills

• Flexible and diplomatic team player

• 2-3 years of administrative experience in an arts or educational environment

• Mac literate, proficiency in Microsoft Office required, knowledge of Photoshop is

a plus

EDUCATION

• College degree preferred

Pay rate: $26.01 per hour
