At Craftspring, we design and craft beautiful gifts that support women’s entrepreneurship and preserve artisanal traditions while cultivating ethical and environmental business practices that support everyone in our supply chain.

We carefully source our materials and mindfully make our products – we use clean, renewable energy in our store and office, ship our products in recycled packaging, and invest in environmental and community-based organizations.

We are seeking seasonal staff to join our busy online fulfillment team and run our festive holiday booths. Must love interacting with people, be reliable, trustworthy, and have a cheerful and friendly demeanor.

This is a temporary part-time position, though it also has the potential for extension. Some roles are based in our Gowanus Brooklyn office, some in our holiday pop-ups at Grand Central holiday market and Union Square holiday market.

Holiday Market Sales Associate

Description: Holiday Market Sales Associates staff Craftspring’s booths at Union Square and/or Grand Central Holiday Markets, providing a joyful & enjoyable holiday shopping experience.

Requirements:

• An energetic, outgoing, and organized individual capable of working in a compact, very busy, and noisy setting.
• Strong past retail experience; familiarity with POS systems, especially at high-traffic art fairs or holiday booths is a plus.
• Committed to keeping the booth tidy and well-stocked throughout the shopping day.
• Enthusiastic about learning Craftspring’s holiday market inventory, which typically includes hundreds of different ornaments.
• Love for the Holiday Season and excitement about sharing that with customers.
• Desire to learn about Craftspring’s mission and share that with customers.

Hours & Compensation:

• 4-10 hours/day, 2-5 days per week; can be combined with other Craftspring seasonal roles.
• $25/hour (with possibility for commission based on experience and references)
• Grand Central Holiday Fair: Nov 10-Dec 24, Mondays-Saturdays, 10 AM-7 PM; Sundays, 11 AM-6 PM
• Union Square Holiday Market: Nov 13-Dec 24, Mondays-Fridays, 11 AM-8 PM; Saturdays-Sundays, 10 AM-8 PM

Fulfillment & Brooklyn Storefront Associate

Description: The Craftspring Fulfillment Associate fulfills orders at our Brooklyn warehouse/offices at 505 Carroll St #2A; Brooklyn, NY 11215. Fulfillers also help staff our Storefront around the corner at 287 3rd Ave.

Requirements:

• A meticulous & attentive individual who is skilled at hands-on work.
• Able to work in a focused and detail-oriented way for many hours straight. In the busiest part of the season, each Fulfiller packs over 100 orders a day – checking each for accuracy & quality before carefully packing them.
• Friendly and collaborative, good at asking for help and clarifications, ready to respond to requests and feedback from team leaders.
• Enthusiastic about learning Craftspring’s mission and inventory, which includes over 1000 different ornaments.
• Love for the Holiday Season!

Hours & Compensation:

• 6-9 hours/day, 2-5 days per week; can be combined with other Craftspring seasonal roles.
• $20/hour for 1st holiday season with Craftspring;
• October – December
• Mondays-Fridays, 9 AM-5 PM; Saturdays-Sundays, 10 AM-6 PM
