Description
Weinstein Gallery is opening a new contemporary art space in Los Angeles this fall and is seeking a highly capable and versatile Executive Assistant to support the gallery owner.
The ideal candidate is:
- Experienced in the art world, with 2–3 years minimum in a gallery setting
- Educated in Art History, Fine Art, or a related field
- Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost professionalism
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Warm, polished, and highly personable—able to serve as the first point of contact for collectors, artists, and guests
- A skilled multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Artlogic
- Fluent and effective in social media—able to assist with content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement
- Capable of conducting art historical and market research to support exhibitions, sales, and acquisitions
- Bonus points for skills in photography, graphic design, client home shows, or exhibition installation
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the owner’s calendar, travel, and correspondence
- Overseeing sales communication, client follow-up, and correspondence
- Maintaining and updating the gallery database (Artlogic) with accuracy and attention to detail
- Acting as the front-facing representative of the gallery, greeting guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Assisting with social media management and promotional efforts
- Conducting thorough and accurate research on artists and artworks as needed
- Supporting event planning, exhibition production, and special projects
- Ensuring day-to-day gallery operations are efficient and well-organized
- Running occasional personal and professional errands as needed
This is a hands-on, high-trust role for someone with impeccable judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the drive to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic new space. You’ll be integral not just to the gallery’s operations, but to its public face and long-term success.
